3-star offensive lineman Joe Brown commits to BYU Cougars
A day after decommitting from Virginia, American Fork (Utah) Lone Peak offensive lineman Joe Brown has committed to BYU, he announced on Twitter.
Brown is the No. 909 prospect in the 2022 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 71 interior offensive lineman and the No. 13 prospect in Utah.

He posted a graphic with the caption “I’M COMING HOME!!” to announce his commitment to the Cougars.
The 6-foot-3, 285-pounder chose the Cavaliers in June over offers from Indiana, BYU and Idaho. But after head coach Bronco Mendenhall’s resignation, Brown’s commitment was in jeopardy.
BYU moved quickly to secure its 17th commitment in the 2022 class, and Joe Brown joins four-star EDGE Aisea Moa and four-star wide receiver Cody Hagen as the Cougars’ highest-ranked commits.
