Minneapolis Edina three-star tight end Meyer Swinney has committed to the California Golden Bears.

Swinney is the nation’s No. 703 overall prospect, No. 37 tight end and No. 3 recruit from Minnesota in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Swinney now headlines Cal’s 2025 recruiting class as the sixth recruit to commit.

He joins Granite Bay (Calif.) Folsom three-star running back Carter Jackson, Adelanto (Calif.) Aquinas three-star running back Jojo Solis, Hughson (Calif.) three-star quarterback Robert McDaniel, Round Rock (Texas) Stony Point three-star safety Kaden Cook and Rancho Santa Margarita (Calif.) Crean Lutheran three-star linebacker Carter Jones.
