Curtis on his commitment to Cal
“The reason I chose Cal is because I believe it’s the best fit for me,” Curtis said to On3. “It’s a Pac-12 school and I’ve seen how the coaches are committed to turning the program around. Mostly, I felt like I could make an impact. I know as a freshman, I will have to fight for minutes and for respect.”
What type of player is Cal getting in Devin Curtis?
“The program is getting a player that brings intelligence and skill. I know I’m not the most physically gifted, the most bouncy, or the most athletic but I can use IQ and intelligence as a player to get my edge over guys. Just knowing how to rotate on defense and communicate with my teammates. As I grow as a player, I’ll make sure I’m a leader as well. I can rebound and stretch the floor.”
