California guard Andrej Stojakovic enters NCAA Transfer Portal

California guard Andrej Stojakovic has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal. He only spent one season with the Golden Bears after transferring to the program from Stanford ahead of the 2024-25 season.
Stojakovic had a breakout campaign at California, starting in 28 of his 29 appearances. He averaged a team-high 17.9 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game while shooting 42.7% from the field and 31.8% from beyond the arc.
For his efforts, he was named an All-ACC Honorable Mention selection and received several votes for the conference’s Most Improved Player of the Year Award. Stojakovic saved his best for last and erupted for a career-high 37 points in California’s loss to Stanford in the ACC Tournament.
Although the Golden Bears couldn’t come away with the win, Stojakovic was phenomenal, shooting 13-22 from the field and 4-7 from downtown. He hauled in five rebounds in the process as well.
In his freshman season at Stanford, Stojakovic made 32 appearances and 10 starts. He averaged 7.8 points and 3.4 rebounds in 22.3 minutes per game. He was slightly less efficient from the floor, connecting on 40.9% of his shot attempts.
Andrej Stojakovic played high school basketball at Jesuit (CA), where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 24 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Stojakovic wasn’t included in On3 reporter James Fletcher III’s NBA mock draft but he was listed as a name to watch. Alas, it appears Stojakovic has decided to return to college for at least one more season before taking his talents to the next level.

California finished the season with a 14-19 overall record and a 6-14 mark in conference play. After the Golden Bears’ season finale, head coach Mark Madsen revealed how the program must improve moving forward.
“We have to win more non-conference games,” Madsen said. “We had the SEC challenge this year. We were at Missouri. We were up 15, 18 points in the first half on the road, and then we didn’t finish the game. Missouri outplayed us in the second half.
“… We have to be better at Cal, and every team across the conference has to be better with non-conference games.”
Perhaps California will square off against Andrej Stojakovic in a non-conference game next season. The 6-foot-7 guard chose California over Kentucky and North Carolina in the transfer portal last offseason.
