DL Ryan McCulloch commits to California
Arcadia (Calif.) Rio Hondo Preparatory School defensive lineman Ryan McCulloch has committed to California. He announced the news over social media.
McCulloch is not ranked in the 2023 On3 Consensus or the 2023 On300. He is 6-foot-3 and weighs 235 pounds.
The defensive lineman is now the eighth member of the Golden Bears’ 2023 recruiting class. He is the fourth recruit at his position alongside Los Angeles (Calif.) Cathedral three-star defensive lineman Ashton Sanders, La Puente (Calif.) Bishop Amat three-star defensive lineman Tiumalu Afalava and Las Vegas (Nev.) Arbor View defensive lineman Zurich Ashford.
McCulloch is California’s second commit of August alongside Ashford. He also received offers from Colorado and Washington State.

Other summer pledges for the Golden Bears include Sanders, Afalava, Herriman (Utah) Mountain Ridge three-star linebacker Cade Uluave, Salinas (Calif.) three-star wide receiver Nyziah Hunter and Rohnert Park (Calif.) Rancho Cotate three-star cornerback Sailasa Vadrawale.
The highest-ranked member of California’s class is currently Mission Hills (Calif.) four-star safety R.J. Jones. He is the No. 320 overall prospect in the On3 Consensus. The Golden Bears’ group currently ranks No. 71 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Recruiting Rankings and No. 11 in the Pac-12.
