2025 QB Robert McDaniel commits to California
Hughson (Calif.) three-star quarterback Robert McDaniel has committed to California, he announced on Thursday evening.
He chose the in-state Golden Bears while also holding offers from the likes of Indiana, Virginia, Oregon State and Washington State.
McDaniel is the No. 830 overall prospect and No. 61 QB in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 76 player in California.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pounder becomes the fifth member of Cal’s 2025 recruiting class — which ranks 38th in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
McDaniel is the third offensive addition to Justin Wilcox’s pledge list. He joins a pair of running backs in Granite Bay (Calif.) Folsom three-star Carter Jackson and Adelanto (Calif.) Aquinas three-star Jojo Solis.
