On3 Consensus three-star recruit Rodney Brown has re-committed to Cal-Berkeley.

The 6-foot-6 class of 2023 shooting guard committed to the Golden Bears in early August before reopening his recruitment a month later. He also received offers from Oregon State, San Diego, Tennessee, Washington State, USC, and others.

Brown ranks as the No. 125 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, the average ranking from all four major recruiting media companies.

Brown discusses his decision to rejoin the Bears

“I chose to re-commit to Cal because I felt the most comfortable there,” Brown said to On3. “I feel I fit really well within the program and I feel its the best place for my future. I have great relationships with the staff and the players, and most importantly I feel I will develop there.”

What type of player is Cal getting in Rodney Brown, in his own words?

“A hard working guy who loves to compete that can really score the basketball,” he says.

Brown has a message for Bears fans.

“I can’t wait to get up to Berkeley and get the Haas Pavilion rockin’!
