WATCH: Jaylen Brown posterizes Mo Bamba
Boston Celtics small forward Jaylen Brown threw down one of the nastiest dunks of the year tonight in the NBA, posterizing former Texas Longhorn Mo Bamba. Brown dribbled down the lane and took off just past the dotted line in the key, where he was met in mid-air with the seven-footer. Bamba also has a 7-foot-10 wingspan, which makes the dunk even more impressive.
The look on Brown’s face after the dunk says it all.
Check it out below as he sent it in with authority in the third quarter.
What a dunk by the former Cal Golden Bear! Brown has established himself as one of the best players in the league over the past few years. He’s currently averaging 23.9 points per game, 6.6 rebounds per game, and 3.1 assists per game for the Celtics.
He was very close to being an All-Star selection this year with his teammate Jayson Tatum, but he was snubbed.
There must be something about the Orlando Magic that brings out the best in Brown, because he dropped a career-high 50 points on them in a 116-111 overtime win over them on Jan. 2 this year.
Bamba was either going to get dunked on, or he could have had an epic block tonight. He definitely deserves credit for taking the risk, jumping in mid-air, and trying for the block. Tonight’s version did not shake out the way he would have liked.
