Campbell heavyweight Taye Ghadiali enters NCAA Transfer portal

Campbell heavyweight Taye Ghadiali entered the NCAA transfer portal with a do not contact tag, On3’s Pete Nakos confirmed.
Ghadiali was an All-American contender for the 2025 NCAA Championships but was injured earlier this season. He opted to take a medical redshirt.
Ghadiali was 4-2 this season before being unable to wrestle. He finished in 8th place last season at the 2024 NCAA Championships in Kansas City, becoming an All-American for the first time.
Ghadiali is a four-time national qualifier, getting to the tournament all four years as a starter with Campbell. He’ll be a seventh-year senior for the 2025-26 season but it is currently unknown where he’ll go.

However, because of the do not contact tag, Ghadiali either knows where he is going or has narrowed it down to a few schools.
Over the course of his career, Ghadiali is 90-24 in varsity matches, going a career best 35-6 last season en route to an 8th place finish.
He went 4-3 at last year’s NCAA Tournament, beating Hunter Catka, Owen Trephan, Cory Day and Nathan Taylor throughout the bracket. He lost to eventual runner-up Lucas Davison, Nick Feldman and Yaraslau Slavikouski (in the 7th place match).
