Warren (Mich.) De La Salle quarterback Brody Drogosh didn’t need long to know he wanted to be a Cincinnati Bearcat.

After receiving an offer last Monday, Drogosh committed on Saturday to the coaching staff and announced his decision Monday on Twitter. He chose the Bearcats over offers from Indiana, Maryland, Kansas, Minnesota and others.

He is the No. 681 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 34 quarterback and the No. 14 junior in Michigan.

“First I would like to thank God for blessing me with the ability to play football and always being there through the ups and downs,” Drogosh wrote on Twitter. “Next I would like to thank Coach Rohn, Coach Morris, Coach Light, Coach Ty, Coach James, Coach Campbell, Coach Dixon, Coach Denryter and the whole De La Salle family for teaching me to be a better football player and an overall man.

… I’d like to thank my friends and teammates for always believing in me and showing me the true bonds of brotherhood. I’d like to thank my family for always being there for me. Lastly I’d like to thank my parents and brother for being the best support system in the world and sacrificing so much for me and always being there when it mattered most. With that being said I am absolutely honored to announce I am 100% committed to the University of Cincinnati!!!!!”

Brody Drogosh was a big riser in the On300 rankings earlier this year

The Industry Comparison shows On3 is significantly higher on him than the rest of the industry, though. In the most recent On300 rankings, he was tabbed as the country’s No. 233 prospect, No. 11 QB and No. 3 player from Michigan.

Brady Drogosh is one of the more toolsy quarterbacks we’ve evaluated in the 2023 cycle thus far,” On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power wrote. “At 6-foot-4, 195 pounds with a 10 3/8-inch hand, Drogosh pairs plus size with high-end athleticism. The Warren (Mich.) De La Salle signal caller is one of, if not the best rusher among the 2023 quarterback group. He was dominant with the ball in his hands as a junior, rushing for 1,781 yards and 24 touchdowns en route to a state title.

… He also recently registered as one of the top athletes to test on the Elite 11 circuit this spring, running a 4.61 second 40-yard dash. Drogosh has also shown some encouraging signs as a passer. He’s not as polished or coached up as many others, but has a naturally strong arm with the ability to drive the ball downfield. There’s a bunch of talent and athleticism to work with here, in our opinion.”

Drogosh is the seventh commitment in the 2023 cycle for the Bearcats.
