2025 5-star OT David Sanders set to visit Clemson this weekend
David Sanders was offered by Clemson on May 31. Dabo Swinney and his staff do things a little differently when it comes to offering recruits. The Tigers offer later than most, but the No. 1 offensive tackle in the 2025 class was one of the first to receive an offer from the ACC program.
Even before the offer, Sanders took numerous visits to Death Valley. He attended games, he has visited for Junior Days and he is set to be back on campus this weekend for the Florida State game.
In a previous interview with On3, Sanders said, “I went to games when I was little because that was my dream school growing up. I have always watched them on TV. To get that offer was a dream come true. Clemson is a school I am really looking at.”
When Sanders received the offer on the last day of May, that meant something to him.
“Clemson is showing me that I’m one of their highest targets. I was one of their first offers for the 2025 class. That meant the world to me.”

The 6-foot-5.5, 250-pound junior offensive tackle out of Charlotte Providence Day is the No. 5 prospect in the 2025 On3 Industry Rankings.
On3 Scouting Report
Twitchy, explosive jumbo athlete who looks like one of the top offensive tackles in the 2025 cycle early on. A two-way star for Providence Chrisitian in Charlotte as an offensive tackle and defensive lineman. Has a tall, lean frame, measuring in at around 6-foot-5.5, 250 pounds with a 6-foot-9.5 wing-span and 9.5-inch hand. Registers as a top athlete, ripping off a sensational electronically-timed 4.89-second 40-yard dash at Under Armour’s Atlanta camp prior to his junior season. Transfers that athleticism over to the field. An electric mover for an underclassman offensive line prospect. Explodes to the second level and moves effortlessly in space. Plays much stronger than his lighter weight would suggest. Has developed upper body and core strength to plant defenders into the ground. Flashes some dominant tendencies as a drive blocker and finisher. Runs his feet on contact and plays with some nastiness. Relatively advanced technically. Also shows off his athleticism as a defensive lineman. Would be an easy Power 5 prospect on that side of the ball. Also shows his functional strength in track and field, where he’s a standout in the shot put, with an outstanding personal best of 53-3.5 feet as a sophomore. Will need to continue adding mass, as he is relatively lean and does not have an overly wide frame. Older for the class, turning 17 years-old as a sophomore.
