From one team of Tigers to another, former Auburn commit Caden Story has committed to Clemson.

The 6-foot-3, 282-pound four-star defensive lineman out of Lanett, Ala. took a late visit to Florida. He was a longtime Auburn commit, but Clemson is the school that prevailed.

“On the official visit to Clemson, I kind of felt it,” Story told On3. “I wanted to make sure though, so I took the official visit to Florida before making my final decision.”

That visit showed the No. 222 prospect in the On3 Consensus what Clemson’s all about.

“Clemson has great love and support for its football program. It is one big family there and everyone is there for each other.

“I feel going to Clemson is going to help me develop on and off the field. I know I will get coached up on the field and made a better young man off the field.

“Me going to Clemson will put me in the hands of great men.”

Dabo Swinney is the head coach, and Story has great confidence in him. Nick Eason is the coach he has the best relationship too. He was the defensive line coach at Auburn that Story committed to, so those two are close.

“I love coach Eason. He played a big role in my decision. I trust him, I believe in him, and he is going to look out for me.

“He is genuine, he is cool, and we have that special relationship.”

Story is a player that has been going through the process the last few years. He’s had the offers, he’s taken numerous visits, and he’s happy to be a Clemson Tiger.

“It feels good to have this decision made,” Story said. “Auburn and Florida are great schools, but I’m going to the best place for me.

“Clemson’s a big family that loves each other.”
