Hoschton (Ga.) Mill Creek four-star linebacker Jamal Anderson announced Tuesday he will be taking an official visit to Clemson during the first weekend of June.

The On3 Consensus — a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies — has Anderson as the No. 158 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle. He is ranked as the No. 101 prospect in the 2023 On300 ranking.

Anderson has previously said he will also be making an official visit to Michigan State the following weekend.

Anderson visited Clemson twice in April and has been on campus three times in the past seven months. He told On3’s Jeremy Johnson after the visit he was planning to take an official visit in June.

“It was a great practice with great energy,” Anderson said. “I like the way everyone hustles. They also have good team chemistry and they work together really well. I can definitely see myself fitting into the defense really well.’

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $23k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

The Industry Comparison Tool shows On3 as the recruiting media service that views Anderson the most favorably. On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power explained why that is the case.

“The national linebacker class is a bit tough to parse at the top,” Power said. “It’s murky at best and debatably weak that this point. Some linebacker prospects who developed a bit later could be primed to make a move. One of those is Jamal Anderson. The 6-foot-4, 195-pounder has seen his stock rise over the last few months, with good reason. Anderson is a fluid, coordinated athlete. He’s a natural mover in space and plays with range and a large sphere of influence. He’s a versatile linebacker who can play in space, cover and rush the passer.”
