4-star LB Kamar Archie schedules Clemson spring visit
Dabo Swinney and the Clemson staff are cooking on the recruiting trail. The Tigers currently own pledges from 10 prospects in the 2025 cycle and have the No. 4 class in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
The ACC program will look to keep the mojo going this weekend as its set to host a Spring Elite day. On Tuesday, Trenton (N.J.) Hun School four-star linebacker Kamar Archie announced that he will be in attendance for the event this weekend.
The 6-foot-0.5, 220-pounder has seen an uptick in his recruitment since last summer. Clemson offered in June and has since been followed by Georgia, Alabama, USC, Miami, Texas A&M and more. The Tigers will have a chance to take that next step with Archie this weekend as he’ll finally make his way down to campus.
So far, Archie has taken a plethora of visits to Rutgers and Penn State. He also took a visit to Michigan earlier this year, just before the February dead period began.
“It was a great experience,” Archie told The Wolverine after his trip to Ann Arbor. “The facilities are great. I was really impressed with the weight room. Even though there is no linebackers coach, they have been doing a great job of keeping the relationship going with me. Michigan kind of reminds me of how my school is set up in some ways.”
Archie is the No. 199 overall prospect and No. 25 LB in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 7 player in New Jersey.

Clemson Class Breakdown
Clemson’s class consists of eight blue-chip prospects, including the nation’s No. 21 recruit in Norfolk (Va.) Maury four-star EDGE Ari Watford. Watford pledged to the Tigers near the end of January.
“Clemson is a very unique place,” Watford told On3. “The people there and the family-oriented culture Coach Swinney has built stood out to me. People go to Clemson go for the right reasons and that’s something I’ve wanted to be a part of growing up.”
Seven additional four-star recruits are committed to the Tigers: Durham (N.C.) Southern defensive lineman Isaiah Campbell, Lynchburg (Va.) Liberty Christian Academy running back Gideon Davidson, Lake City (S.C.) South Florence defensive lineman Amare Adams, Buford (Ga.) offensive tackle Brayden Jacobs, Lawrence (Mass.) Central Catholic quarterback Blake Hebert, Lynchburg (Va.) Liberty Christian Academy interior offensive lineman Easton Ware and Savannah (Ga.) Christian Prep tight end Logan Brooking.
Anderson (S.C.) Belton-Honea Path three-star running back Marquise Henderson and Woodbridge (Va.) Freedom three-star wide receiver Carleton Preston have both joined the class since December.
