Clemson DT Bryan Bresee back running after tearing ACL in fall
CLEMSON — Nearly five months after suffering a torn ACL in a loss at NC State, Bryan Bresee appears to be making solid progress during his rehab.
Bresee posted a video on social media of him jogging at the Clemson indoor practice facility on Tuesday.
Bresee is still wearing a brace on his left knee but appears to be moving well. At one point he even accelerates and nears a full sprint.
This is obviously good news for Clemson as the redshirt sophomore is one of the best defensive tackles in the country when healthy.
In fact, Bresee was named third-team All-ACC last season, despite only appearing in four games. In 2020, Bresee recorded 33 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss and 4 sacks while appearing in 12 games, with 10 starts. He was named a freshman All-American and the ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year that season.

Last season, Bresee finished with 15 tackles, 3 tackles for loss and an interception in four games.
Dabo Swinney is expected to provide a full update on Bresee next week ahead of the start of spring practice.
Bresee is a part of a loaded defensive tackles group at Clemson that also includes All-American candidate Tyler Davis and key reserves Ruke Orhorhoro and Tre Williams.
The group will be coached in 2022 by defensive tackles coach Nick Eason, who came over this offseason from Auburn.
Eason is replacing Todd Bates, who left to join Brent Venables at Oklahoma. Eason spoke on signing day about how excited he is to coach this group of defensive linemen.
“We’re loaded up front, especially at the defensive tackle position. Just gotta keep them healthy. If those guys stay healthy, we’ll be the number one defensive line in the country,” Eason said. “So I’m really excited. I inherited a really good defensive line, and I’m excited to get to work with those guys.”
