Bryant Wesco injury update: Clemson WR's status revealed for Virginia game
Clemson will be without one of its top options at receiver for a second straight week. Freshman receiver Bryant Wesco is out for the game against Virginia, Clemson announced Saturday morning.
In addition to Wesco, the Tigers will also be down receiver Tyler Brown and defensive lineman Vic Burley after both players were listed on the depth chart that was released earlier this week.
Bryant Wesco was also unavailable last weekend when the Tigers faced Wake Forest. The Texas native has 11 catches for 262 yards on the season and has been a key big-play threat for Clemson as the offense has hit its stride the last several weeks.
Wesco topped the 100-yard mark against Stanford and Appalachian State this season.
Despite missing a game this season, Bryant Wesco is third on the Tigers’ team in receiving yards, behind only receiver Antonio Williams and tight end Jake Briningstool.

Tyler Brown, who is also out, was thought to be one of the top receiving options for Clemson after he led the Tigers in receiving last year. However, he has been banged up for most of the year and has only five catches for 30 yards.
As for Vic Burley, he has recorded five tackles this season in limited playing time.
Clemson kicker suffers broken leg after being hit by truck while riding moped
In addition to those three players, Clemson also had an injury earlier this week.
Clemson reserve kicker Quinn Castner suffered a broken leg on Thursday morning. He was hit by a truck while riding his moped on campus. Castner had surgery on a compound fracture of his lower leg on late Thursday afternoon. He is resting comfortably and doing well after the surgery, according to a report from David Hood of tigernet.com.
Castner is a fifth-year graduate student out of Fort Mill, South Carolina. He has played in just two games during his time with the Tigers. And finished one-for-one on his only extra point attempt. He also finishes the year two for two on kickoff attempts.
