Cade Klubnik gifts Clemson team with Beats headphones
As Clemson readies itself for the 2023 season, the leadership qualities of new starting quarterback Cade Klubnik are already on full display.
After a recent practice, coach Dabo Swinney turned the team toward a video board in the indoor practice facility. Gracing the stage was quarterback Cade Klubnik, meeting with one of the team chefs.
In a bit of a goofy video, the chef offers Klubnik beets prepared a number of different ways before slyly pulling out a pair of Beats headphones. As smiles break out in the video, a bin full of brand new Beats by Dre Studio Pro headphones were wheeled out to the players in the indoor practice facility, with players all gifted one courtesy of a Klubnik NIL deal with Beats.
Beats has been aggressive in its NIL campaign, signing more than a dozen high-profile athletes to deals and gifting their teams the Beats headphones.
Among the Beats signees like Klubnik are USC‘s Caleb Williams, former Texas running back Bijan Robinson, Notre Dame‘s Sam Hartman, Tennessee’s Joe Milton and USC basketball signee Bronny James.
“Thankful to be able to hook up the team with some Beats, man,” Klubnik said a video dropped by Clemson. “Let’s get them locked in for the season, let’s go!”

Cade Klubnik embracing NIL Era
An Elite 11 MVP, Klubnik finished his freshman year with nearly 700 passing yards in 10 games. After taking over in the ACC title game, he was 20 of 24 for 279 yards and a touchdown. The Austin (Texas) Westlake product had a 61% completion percentage during the year.
Repped by Austin Lyman of Athletes First, Klubnik has started to branch off into the NIL realm. The Beats headphones deal was just the latest. He dropped a merchandise line back in December, releasing a variety of T-shirts, long-sleeve shirts, pants, beanies and hoodies for sale. The apparel features his logo, jersey number or the motto “Join the Klub.” Prices range from $30 to $50. He recently released notebooks, laptop sleeves and water bottles.
The quarterback signed with Fred Caldwell Chevrolet of Clover, South Carolina, in May. As part of the agreement, he received the keys to a Chevrolet truck.
Klubnik has amassed more than 112,000 social media followers between Instagram and Twitter. A strong start to the season could put him in a position to succeed. He also holds a $310,000 On3 NIL Valuation, which ranks in the top 170 of the college football NIL rankings.
