Tavoy Feagin NCAA Transfer Portal
2024 Four-Star CB Tavoy Feagin commits to Clemson

Clemson cornerback Tavoy Feagin plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett. Feagin played 11 snaps in the 2024 campaign before ultimately using his redshirt. He will have four years of eligibility remaining.

Feagin played high school football at Carrollwood Day (FL), where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 317 overall player and No. 30 cornerback in the 2024 recruiting cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Feagin tallied eight interceptions during his senior year at Carrollwood Day, the fourth-most in the state. For his efforts, he was selected to play in the Under Armour All-America Game.

Tavoy Feagin will be the sixth Clemson player to enter the transfer portal this offseason. Feagin’s fellow defensive back, Sherrod Covil, entered the transfer portal on Dec. 9. He committed to Virginia Tech only nine days later.

Now, Feagin will search for a new home, as well. Clemson has added three players in the transfer portal this offseason, thus far: EDGE Jeremiah Alexander (Alabama), EDGE Will Heldt (Purdue) and wide receiver Tristan Smith (Southeast Missouri State).

Clemson HC Dabo Swinney reacts to Cade Klubnik’s return

Although Clemson has suffered its fair share of losses to the transfer portal this offseason, it’s also retained a few pivotal wins. Most notably, Clemson starting quarterback Cade Klubnik is returning for his senior season. Earlier this offseason, Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney reacted to Klubnik’s decision to return.

“Didn’t have a reaction, because I knew he was coming back, so there was never any doubt that he was coming back,” Swinney said. “So there really was no reaction. It was just, it was, I mean, I knew he was coming back.

“It just speaks to the culture here. I mean, we’ve had seismic changes in college football the last few years. I mean, like in the history of the game, and I think we’ve been top in the country, you know, top couple (of teams) in the country the last two years, in retention.”

Klubnik had a career year in 2024. He finished the season with 3,639 passing yards for 36 touchdowns compared to just six interceptions. He also recorded 463 yards and seven scores in the ground game.
