Clemson center Christian Reeves has entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned. He did so after spending just one year with the Tigers.

Reeves began his career at Duke, where he played for two seasons. he then transferred to Clemson ahead of the 2024-25 campaign.

During this season with the Tigers, Christian Reeves averaged 1.2 points and 1.5 rebounds per game while seeing 5.1 minutes per contest. He also chipped in 0.2 blocks, 0.2 steals and 0.2 assists per game.

Reeves was mostly a backup for Clemson. He appeared in a career-high 29 games this season — after appearing in only 16 total across two seasons at Duke — starting one of them.

Christian Reeves didn’t display much shooting range as a big, not attempting a 3-pointer in the last three years. But he was fairly reliable from the free-throw line for a big. He has a career markk of 70.8%, while he went 75.0% at Clemson.

Reeves had an impressive two-game stretch in early February. He recorded seven rebounds in 10 minutes of action in an overtime loss to Georgia Tech, then turned around and had five points and three rebounds in a win over No. 2 Duke.

As a recruit, Christian Reeves was ranked as a three-star prospect and the No. 143 overall recruit in the country in the 2022 recruiting class. He was ranked as the No. 20 center in the class and the No. 8 overall player from the state of Virginia, hailing from Charlotte (NC) Oak Hill Academy.

Clemson loses another one to the transfer portal

Christian Reeves isn’t the only player from Clemson to enter the NCAA transfer portal this cycle. Jake Heidbreder just finished his second season at Clemson after transferring in two offseasons ago. He has entered the portal.

Heidbreder appeared in 32 games off the bench this season for Clemson. He averaged 4.1 points (40.4% FG, 37.3% 3PT) and 1.2 rebounds per game in those outings, which had him in seventh on the team in scoring and third in 3-point percentage. However, Heidbreder only played one season at Clemson. That’s after redshirting following his initial transfer to the Tigers.

Prior to Clemson, Heidbreder spent two seasons at Air Force. He posted 12.9 points (49.2% FG, 39.1% 3PT), 3.3 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 61 games played with the Falcons. That included 15.1 points (48.4% FG, 39.9% 3PT), 3.3 rebounds, and 1.7 assists as a selection to the All-Mountain West Third Team.

On3’s Sam Gillenwater also contributed to this report.
