According to Derrian Carter of the Greenville News, Clemson defensive lineman Caden Story was arrested on Sunday, being the latest issue within the program. Story was eventually charged with a misdemeanor for possession of marijuana.

“News: Clemson football defensive lineman Caden Story was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor for possession of marijuana on July 21,” Carter said via X.

Story is entering his third season with Clemson, being a redshirt sophomore. During his arrest, Story had one ounce of marijuana in his possession but since it was his first offense, the charge was only at the level of a misdemeanor.

“According to Pickens County court records, the redshirt sophomore was charged with possessing 28 grams (one ounce) or less,” Carter’s story said. “It is Story’s first offense, and the charge is classified as a misdemeanor. His case, which was filed Tuesday, is listed as criminal, and he has to pay $615 in fines/costs.”

On the field, 11 appearances have come for Story over the last two seasons. He has played in just over 60 snaps and recorded two tackles. For somebody who entered with a lot of expectations, playing time has not been too frequent thus far.

Dabo Swinney updates progress of Clemson QB Cade Klubnik

Cade Klubnik is entering his second year being the starting quarterback for the Clemson Tigers. With that comes plenty of development that many, including Dabo Swinney, have taken notice of.

Swinney discussed Klubnik’s offseason progression during a recent press conference last week. He thinks that their quarterback has done what they’ve wanted to see him do to improve his game. That doesn’t surprise him either because Klubnik is a player that has all the aspects that suggest that this was coming for him.

“He had a great spring. He really did. You know, we don’t put a lot on the spring game – good or bad. It’s just one of 15 days. It’s really the one day where kind of everything is diluted. You know, we evaluate him on what we’ve seen each and every day. Even the summer is a part of it,” said Swinney. “He, in our eyes, has taken the next step that we need to see to this point. Now it’s got to go happen on the field. That’s what you want to see. That’s what it’s all about, you know.”
