The Tigers finished 10-3 last season, a record that most teams in the country dream of, but for them was their first season losing that many games since since the 2014-2015 season, where they also dropped three games. Clemson is highly favored in most of their games this season, with a 90% chance or higher of winning in seven of their 12 games this season according to ESPN’s FPI. But, there are a few matchups to key an eye on, the first being a primetime game on the road versus Notre Dame, where the Tigers are given a 60% chance of winning. There are also three conference matchups against Wake Forrest, Florida State, and Miami where the Tiger’s chances of victory drop to around 80%. If they want to get back into championship contention this season, the Tigers will have to win these key matchups and avoid any slip ups better than they did last year.
