Clemson in the top five for top five 2024 QB prospect
Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day four-star quarterback Jadyn Davis has announced his top five schools. Clemson is among them.
Davis, the No. 26 overall prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking, is one of two uncommitted quarterbacks that holds an offer from Clemson at the moment. He joins fellow four-star quarterback Air Noland.
Davis was Clemson’s second quarterback offered in the class of 2024. Clemson first offered DJ Lagway and offered Davis after he threw at Clemson’s prospect camp last summer.
Then, Davis was technically an in-state target. He had just finished his sophomore season at Catawaba Ridge in South Carolina. Davis then transferred to Providence Day in Charlotte.

Davis hasn’t been to Clemson a ton in recent months. He made his way to the Tigers’ game against NC State back on Oct. 1.
Davis has been seen as a lean toward other programs for quite some time. Clemson’s offer spree at the quarterback position appears to have come as a reaction to that feeling. Since the Tigers offered Davis on June 1, 2022, they have offered two more quarterbacks in Noland and Walker White, who committed to Auburn shortly after his junior day visit to Clemson on Jan. 28. Noland was offered back on March 11 on his first and only visit.
Even still, Clemson sits in second according to On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine. Michigan is trending with a 90.3 percent chance of landing the four-star signal caller.
Scouting Summary
Accurate passer of the football who can place it with the best of them. Displays excellent patience within the pocket. Does a tremendous job processing and reading the field and going through his progressions. Can layer the football over underneath defenders and drops the ball into the bucket on throws deep downfield. Stands in at nearly 6-foot-1, just a shade under 200 pounds with a 9.25-inch hand. Solid build and has some density throughout his frame. Lacks ideal ball ballistics and zip when the ball leaves his hand. Comfortable rolling out of the pocket but can really see his velocity waver and the ball start to flutter when throwing off-balance. Excellent distributor of the football, will gain more zip as he grows into his frame and gets stronger. High floor prospect who will consistently move the chains at the next level. Won North Carolina’s Gatorade Player of the Year in 2022 throwing for over 3,400 yards and 43 touchdowns on 73-percent completion.
