Clemson returns an absolutely loaded defensive unit that should be one of the very best in college football. The Tigers’ 2022-2023 defensive unit features five preseason first-team All-ACC selections, per Athlon Sports: Myles Murphy, Bryan Bresee, Tyler Davis, Trenton Simpson, and Andrew Mukuba.
The Tigers also had another player land on Athlon Sports preseason 2022 second-team All-ACC defensive team: Xavier Thomas.
The biggest headline for Clemson heading into the season is undoubtedly who will play under center for them. While D.J. Uiagalelei is the incumbent starter, Cade Klubnik was one of the most decorated prospects in Texas high school football history.
