The spread has been released for Saturday’s game between Clemson and Notre Dame as the Tigers prepare for their final road test of the season.

Clemson is a 3.5-point favorite over the Irish, according to Draft Kings. The game will kick off at 7:30 Saturday night in South Bend.

Clemson enters the game 8-0 (6-0) and is coming off of a bye week.

Notre Dame is 5-3 after beating Syracuse 41-24 this past weekend. The Irish have won five of their past six games.

This is Clemson’s biggest remaining hurdle as it attempts to finish with an undefeated regular season. The Tigers also have games remaining against Louisville, Miami and South Carolina.

The rest of Notre Dame’s schedule after Saturday includes matchups with Navy, Boston College and Southern Cal.

While Clemson is favored against the Irish, it will need to play better than it did in its most recent game against Syracuse to earn a win.

Starting quarterback DJ Uiagalelei really struggled against the Orange, turning the ball over three times, before eventually getting benched.

He was replaced by freshman Cade Klubnik, who led the Tigers back to a win. However, Uiagalelei will remain Clemson’s starting QB moving forward.

While most of Clemson’s team has never played at Notre Dame Stadium, Uiagalelei has.

As a freshman in 2020, Uiagalelei passed for 439 yards against the Irish in a double overtime loss. That is the most yards anyone has ever thrown for against Notre Dame.

The California native struggled the following year as a sophomore, but he has been excellent for the most part this season. He will now try to bounce back against Notre Dame after struggling in his most recent outing against Syracuse.
