Willis (Texas) four-star quarterback DJ Lagway has picked up his second major offer in two days Tuesday, snagging an offer from Clemson.

The Tigers are very stringent with their offers, especially for quarterbacks. They have offered only a few players in the 2024 cycle at this moment.

Extending their first offer to a quarterback this cycle to Lagway demonstrates how seriously they are going to be pursuing him.

Lagway is the No. 15 overall recruit in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

He is also the fourth-ranked quarterback in the On3 Consensus. Chandler (Ariz.) five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola, Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day School four-star quarterback Jadyn Davis and Carlsbad (Calif.) four-star quarterback Julian Sayin are the quarterbacks ranked ahead of Lagway in the On3 Consensus.

The 2024 On300 ranking has Lagway as the No. 3 quarterback in the country.

DJ Lagway was in Los Angeles for Memorial Day Weekend

DJ Lagway made a holiday weekend trip to Los Angeles for the Steve Clarkson QB Retreat.

While in the City of Angels, he made time to visit the area’s two major programs: UCLA and USC.

He already had an offer from the Bruins heading into the visit, but not from the Trojans. When he left California, that was not longer the case.

“Definitely an offer I’ve been wanting, and it’s a blessing to have a offer from such a historic program,” Lagway told WeAreSC.
