Clemson forward Jack Clark enters NCAA Transfer Portal
The Clemson Tigers men’s basketball team has lost one of their members to the NCAA Transfer Portal on Friday. Power forward Jack Clark officially entered the portal on Friday afternoon, On3’s Jamie Shaw has learned. He averaged 4.7 points and 4.7 rebounds per game this season in 23.5 minutes of work. He’ll have an extra year of eligibility because of the COVID-19 waiver.
He played in 25 games this season for Clemson after transferring from N.C. State. Clark pumped in seven points in 29 minutes during the Tigers’ Elite Eight loss to the Alabama Crimson Tide.
He was an important rebounder for the Tigers, grabbing eight boards in each of their first two NCAA Tournament games (New Mexico and Baylor). The eight rebounds against Baylor in the Sweet 16 were absolutely massive, considering that game was close (Clemson only won 72-64). He played a very critical role in their postseason run, averaging 32.3 minutes per game in the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
Before transferring to N.C. State, Clark spent time with the La Salle Explorers from 2018 to 2022. His freshman year, he played in nine games and in his third year there, he played in 30 games, starting 23 of those. In the 2021-2022 season, Clark averaged 12.0 points per game, averaging 29.8% from beyond-the-arc. He played the most minutes of his college basketball career thus far for La Salle, logging 913 minutes for them in the 2021-2022 campaign.

Standing at 6-foot-10, Clark has been a solid rebounder for much of his career, averaging 5.6 rebounds per game for his college basketball career.
It was a historical year for Clemson. The Tigers made it to the Elite Eight for the first time since 1980, after they beat Arizona 77-72. They got big time performances from their three superstars in that one Schieffelin (14 points), Hall (17 points), and Hunter (18 points). The talented trio combined for 49 of the Tigers’ 77 points. Clemson barely made it into the 2024 NCAA Tournament as a No. 6 seed, but they made the most of their time once they actually got in.
Outside of their impressive NCAA Tournament run, Clemson’s biggest win undoubtedly came against the North Carolina Tar Heels on the road. The Tigers prevailed in that one with a 80-76 victory, thanks to some incredible play by P.J. Hall. He finished with 25 points, nine rebounds, and three assists. It was the program’s second win ever on UNC’s home floor. The win also marked the highest ranked opponent Clemson has beaten on their own floor since Jan. 21, 1976 (82-77 win at Maryland).
