Dabo Swinney: Clemson 'in a good spot' health wise entering Miami game
Clemson healed up during the bye week and will be getting multiple starters back for Saturday’s showdown at Miami.
Cornerbacks Nate Wiggins and Sheridan Jones, as well as receiver Antonio Williams, are all expected to play when Clemson faces the Hurricanes in South Beach this weekend.
“Mentally and physically, we’re in as good a spot as we’ve been since the beginning of the season,” Swinney said during his press conference on Tuesday.
The only two starters who played in the opener who will not be available are receiver Cole Turner and offensive lineman Walker Parks, who are both out for the year. However, everyone else should be available.
Nate Wiggins missed the past two games after going down with a leg injury late during the loss to Florida State.
Antonio Williams missed three straight games after getting banged up against FAU.
Sheridan Jones was a late scratch prior to the Wake Forest game as he was experiencing headaches.
All three players are now good to go, though. Getting them back is a huge boost. Wiggins is Clemson’s top cornerback and one of the best defenders on the team. He is expected to be a high draft pick in the NFL draft down the line. Wiggins has five tackles, a sack, three pass break-ups and a pick-six so far this season.

Miami vs. Clemson odds: Early point spread released on Hurricanes, Tigers
This Saturday’s game between Clemson and Miami is huge for both teams.
The Tigers are looking to avoid falling to 2-3 in the ACC and all but being eliminated from the ACC title game, while Miami is attempting to get back on track after dropping back-to-back games.
ddsmakers in Vegas expect it to be a hard-fought battle, as Clemson enters as a 3.5-point favorite according to FanDuel. The over/under is set at 51.5
Clemson is coming off of a bye week after having notched wins in the past two weeks. The Tigers most recently escaped Wake Forest by a score of 17-12 in Week 6. They did so thanks to a 207-yard effort on the ground, led by Will Shipley, who finished with 97 yards and a touchdown.
Clemson can also get it done through the air with quarterback Cade Klubnik. He currently ranks fourth in the conference with 1,370 yards passing to go with 11 touchdowns and a pair of interceptions on the season. That has helped the Tigers to rank fourth in the ACC in total offense with 437.3 yards per game.
