CLEMSON — Dabo Swinney announced during his press conference on Tuesday that freshman offensive lineman Dietrick Pennington is out for the season.

Pennington suffered a torn ACL during Saturday’s victory over SC State.

Pennington is the third offensive lineman Clemson has lost to an injury, joining Tayquon Johnson and John Williams.

Swinney says Pennington was “going to be a difference maker for us” as the year went along.
