Dutch Fork RB Jarvis Green officially joins Clemson program
After committing to Clemson last week, Dutch Fork running back Jarvis Green officially signed with the Tigers on Wednesday.
Green was one of three running backs to sign with Clemson on Wednesday during the early signing period, joining Jamarius Haynes and preferred walk-on Peyton Streko.
Green has long called Clemson his “dream school” and was able to officially join the Tigers’ program on Wednesday.
“The coaches, they had great bonds with me and kept in contact with me for a long time and told me I’m a great player and would fit perfectly in their schemes,” Jarvis Green previously told On3.
“Just the environment, the coaches and how they carry on with their players and how they treat them as one of their sons. And how they always have their back no matter what.”
Green led Dutch Fork to its sixth state title in seven years this past season, rushing 232 times for 2,272 yards (9.8 avg.) in 2022.
He finished his career with 525 rushes for 4,608 yards (8.8 avg.) and 78 rushing touchdowns in 40 games.

Jarvis Green will play at Clemson alongside current Tigers receiver Antonio Williams, who led Clemson in receiving yards this past season as a freshman.
“It’s going to be a Dutch Fork duo back again. I always wanted to play with Antonio at the college level. Watching him this year, he’s been balling out,” Green said. “I always text him after every game, telling him I’m proud of him and that he’s doing great and to keep his head up and let God do the work for him, because he’s a special player. He runs the best routes. He could go to the NFL right now.”
Green’s lead recruiter was former Tigers star running back CJ Spiller, who is currently the running backs coach at Clemson.
Green added that he has a great relationship with Spiller.
“We talked over the phone [last] Saturday. I was at Mr. Football. He called me before and wished me good luck and said he was praying that I won. It was just nothing but a simple conversation,” Green said.
“His message to me was just always stay patient and just hope everything falls in place. He’s just a cool guy and cool coach, always down to earth. He never hypes himself up too much. He just told me stay true to myself and hopefully everything will play out right.”
