Clemson put together a solid first-quarter drive that ultimately gave the Tigers a 7-0 lead over Pitt in a critical ACC showdown, but the Tigers suffered yet another potentially significant injury on the series.

One of the best Clemson offensive linemen, Matt Bockhorst, suffered a lower body injury and was aided by the training staff to the sideline.

“More trouble for Clemson offensive line,” Clemson reporter Todd Shanesy reported. “Matt Bockhorst is hurt and can’t put any weight on right leg as he is helped to the sideline.”

The official ESPN broadcast later showed Brockhorst emotional as he was carted to the locker room, so for a team that has battled injury issues all season, this is another blow depending on the severity.
