Freshman quarterback Cade Klubnik may be brand new to the Clemson Tigers football program but he’s already making an instant impact on the community.

While the Clemson Life program was visiting Memorial Stadium recently, Klubnik shared a cool moment with a fellow Clemson student, Alex. The quarterback said if Alex was able to show his accuracy by throwing a ball into a passing net on the first try, he would get Klubnik’s wristbands and towel.

Alex nailed it in the top right corner, sending everyone around him into a frenzy. Klubnik tossed over his towel and wristbands, before going into full celebration mode himself. The two even got a chest bump off before the celebrations continued.

You can watch the full moment here.

Clemson Life is a program where “learning is for everyone” according to their Twitter bio. Their aim is to help students gain “employment & independent living skills upon graduation, just like every college student.” Every year, they have a day with the football team, leading to cool moments such as this one with Klubnik.

The official Clemson Football Twitter account posted more photos from the day as well, showing more members of the team interacting with Clemson Life. It seems as if some drills were run before a huge group photo to encapture the experience at Death Valley was taken.

More on Cade Klubnik

Klubnik was one of the top quarterbacks in the 2022 recruiting class, being ranked the No. 3 player at the position according to the On3 Consensus. Coming out of Austin Westlake High School, he ranked as a five-star prospect and will join Clemson hoping to make an immediate impact as an early enrollee.

DJ Uiagalelei, who spent last season as the starter, will most likely be the guy heading into the 2022 seaosn. However, Klubnik will have the opportunity to impress throughout the spring and into the fall, possibly getting some playing time when the time is right.
