Clemson Tigers rise in On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings
It has been a good day on the recruiting trail for Clemson. Hours after landing a pledge from Tampa (Fla.) Tampa Catholic four-star wide receiver TJ Moore, Midlothian (Texas) four-star wide receiver Bryant Wesco committed to the Tigers.
Wesco’s decision elevated Clemson’s 2024 recruiting class to No. 4 in the 2024 On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. The Tigers’ group, which ranks No. 1 in the ACC, rose four spots from No. 8.
“Clemson has a great reputation and they always have success with their wide receivers,” Wesco told On3’s Sam Spiegelman on May 30. “They always have great QBs, great facilities, a great culture and a great campus. The way they treated me when I was there, it was like I was family, and I loved how the players interacted with each other.”
Both Moore and Wesco took official visits to Death Valley last weekend. They are two of the three players to choose Clemson in the last three days, along with Jefferson (Ga.) five-star linebacker Sammy Brown.
“This 2024 class we’re going to have might be one of the best classes in history,” Brown told On3’s Chad Simmons on June 5. “The domino effect has already begun. Because of me committing, there’s going to be others over the next couple of days and weeks. This class is going to be really good.”

Wesco is a big addition to Clemson’s top-five class
A 6-foot-2, 170-pound wideout, Wesco is the sixth top-250 pledge to choose head coach Dabo Swinney and his staff. The others are Brown, Moore, Woodstock (Ill.) Marian Central Catholic four-star tight end Christian Bentancur, Atlanta (Ga.) Pace Academy four-star defensive lineman Hevin Brown-Shuler and Tampa (Fla.) Carrollwood Day four-star cornerback Tavoy Feagin.
Wesco is the No. 31 overall prospect and No. 9 wide receiver in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 7 player in Texas.
On3 rates Wesco higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, he is the No. 26 overall prospect and the No. 6 wide receiver in the country.
The Tigers’ class also contains Lagrange (Ga.) Troup County four-star safety Noah Dixon, Norcross (Ga.) Meadowcreek four-star defensive lineman Champ Thompson, Kennesaw (Ga.) North Cobb four-star running back David Eziomume, Tampa (Fla.) Jesuit three-star linebacker Drew Woodaz and Cornelius (N.C.) William Amos Hough three-star kicker Nolan Hauser. Additionally, Swinney and Co. are still pursuing some of the top players in the country, including Buford (Ga.) Five-Star Plus+ safety KJ Bolden and Lilburn (Ga.) Parkview five-star wide receiver Mike Matthews.
