Clemson Tigers trending for 4-star IOL William Satterwhite
Akron (Ohio) Archbishop Hoban four-star interior offensive lineman William Satterwhite holds offers from some of the top programs in college football. One of them is Clemson.
The Tigers are now leading for Satterwhite at 52.0%, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. Dabo Swinney‘s program went in front of Penn State following an expert prediction from Ryan Snyder of BlueWhiteIllustrated.
“I previously had a pick in for Penn State,” Snyder said. “The Nittany Lions were the first to make a major move, but ever since Satterwhite travelled south to see seven different schools in March and April, it’s become clear that PSU has work to do. I was waiting to see if he’d set an official visit to Penn State, but that still hasn’t happened.
“From what I’ve gathered, Dabo Swinney and Clemson have left a strong impression on Satterwhite and his family. Because of that, I believe the Tigers are in the best position heading into his official visits. I don’t want to rule out Tennessee. I think the Vols are very much in the mix, too, but with Penn State fading, I feel as if Clemson is the right pick at the moment.”
Satterwhite is the No. 198 overall prospect and No. 11 interior offensive lineman in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 7 player in Ohio.
Satterwhite believes Clemson has ‘a great culture’
The 6-foot-4, 295-pound recruit included Clemson among his top nine schools. Alabama, Auburn, Cincinnati, Georgia, Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State and Tennessee are the others.

“Clemson is a little different,” Satterwhite told On3’s Chad Simmons on May 9. “They have a great culture. For an ACC school, they produce players and get a lot of players drafted each year. The education is great, I like the location and the coaches are really good people.”
Satterwhite visited the Tigers on April 12. He currently has one official visit scheduled to the Crimson Tide on June 23.
At the moment, Clemson’s 2024 recruiting class is No. 13 in the 2024 On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 2 in the ACC. The Tigers’ group is led by Woodstock (Ill.) Marian Central Catholic four-star tight end Christian Bentancur, the No. 84 overall prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking.
