Clemson will be without yet another key starter on offense for Saturday’s game at Pitt.
Clemson Sports has learned that star wideout Joseph Ngata will not play against Pittsburgh this weekend.
Ngata, who leads the Tigers in receiving yards with 352, will miss the game due to COVID-19 protocol.
The Tigers will also be without starting center Hunter Rayburn, who missed last week’s game against Syracuse due to COVID and is still in protocol.
Ngata has 18 receptions for 352 yards this season and is averaging 19.6 yards per catch. He also has a touchdown reception through six games.

Ngata is not the only Clemson receiver who could miss Saturday’s game. EJ Williams had his knee scoped last week and did not play against Syracuse. Frank Ladson also missed last week’s game due to a hamstring injury.
Will Taylor is already out for the season due to a torn ACL and Brannon Spector is still not back after dealing with COVID during the offseason.
Clemson is also without both of its starting defensive tackles in Bryan Bresee and Tyler Davis.
The Tigers are 3.5-point underdogs for Saturday’s game at Pitt.
