Clemson to take on Savannah Bananas in fall baseball exhibition
The Clemson baseball program is playing a special exhibition game this fall. The Tigers will take on the Savannah Bananas on Nov. 7, it was announced on Tuesday. The game will take place at Doug Kingsmore Stadium in Clemson.
This will be the first time the Savannah Bananas have ever faced a college team. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m., while broadcast information will be released at a later date.
A group of Banana Ball All-Stars is facing Clemson, and the game will be played under Banana Ball rules. Tickets will not be made available to the public.
The matchup between the Savannah Bananas and Clemson on Nov. 7 is not the only time the Bananas will be at Clemson over the next several months.
The full Banana Ball schedule for 2025 was released earlier this month, and one of the stops will be at Memorial Stadium in Clemson — where the Tigers play football.

The 2025 tour includes stops at 18 MLB stadiums and three football stadiums. In addition to Clemson’s Death Valley, Banana Ball will also be played in Charlotte at Bank of America Stadium and in Nashville at Nissan Stadium.
As for MLB stadiums, games will be played at the home stadiums of the New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, Philadelphia Phillies, Baltimore Orioles, Houston Astros, Seattle Mariners, San Diego Padres, Pittsburgh Pirates, Chicago White Sox, Colorado Rockies, Washington Nationals, Cincinnati Reds, Kansas City Royals, St. Louis Cardinals, Los Angeles Angels, Atlanta Braves, Tampa Bay Rays, and Miami Marlins.
“At first people were like, ‘Well you’re just the Harlem Globetrotters of baseball,’” Savannah owner and Banana Ball creator Jesse Cole said. “I do take that as a compliment because the Globetrotters fundamentally changed the game of basketball, and they’re going on 100 years.
“But we look at ourselves as, we’re building a sport. We’re building something for the future generations to have fun with and really create something truly special. That is where this dream gets much bigger.”
