Clemson first extended an offer to Tampa (Fla.) Tampa Catholic four-star wide receiver TJ Moore during his first trip to campus in March. Moore was back on campus over the weekend for an official visit with the Tigers.

That visit seemingly went well as the Tigers are now trending to land Moore’s pledge by a significant margin.

Following recent industry updates, Clemson now holds an 84.2% chance to land a commitment from Moore according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). Florida sits in a distant second at 3.8%.

The 6-foot-2, 180-pound wide out is the No. 127 overall prospect and No. 22 wide receiver in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 18 player in Florida.

Clemson holds an advantage other schools don’t for Moore as they hold a commitment from Tampa (Fla.) Carrollwood Day four-star cornerback Tavoy Feagin. Moore and Feagin are close friends and Feagin has been recruited him since he announced his pledge to Clemson.

“He just reminds me of another Tee Higgins, so I know coach Swinney will love that,” Feagin told On3’s Chad Simmons in February. “I hope we can get him here pretty soon, but we’ll see what happens. Once we get him up there, it’s gonna be over with.”

“Knowing somebody up there, it’ll keep me familiar,” Moore added on. “It won’t make me feel like I’m out of place. If I go up there with him, maybe he can get me to go. (Feagin’s) basically telling me the same thing that the coaches are good and the stadium, the crowd, the fans, all that, they all show love.”

Moore would give Clemson another offensive 2024 weapon

Clemson currently boasts the No. 14 class in the country and No. 2 class in the ACC with eight commitments. Of those eight commitments, only two are on the offensive side of the ball.

The Tigers two offensive pledges are Woodstrock (Ill.) Marian Central Catholic top-100 tight end Christian Bentancur and Kennesaw (Ga.) North Cobb four-star running back David Eziomume.

Clemson’s other 2024 pledges are Feagan, four-star defensive lineman Hevin Brown-Shuler, four-star safety Noah Dixon, four-star defensive lineman Champ Thompson, three-star linebacker Drew Woodaz and three-star kicker Nolan Hauser.

Moore would also be Clemson’s first top-150 wide receiver pledge since the 2022 recruiting cycle. During that cycle signed a pair of top-100 prospects in Antonio Williams and Adam Randall.
