Clemson rises to No. 5 in On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings
A massive week on the recruiting trail got even bigger for Clemson on Wednesday when top-60 Warner Robins (Ga.) defensive lineman Vic Burley chose the Tigers over a host of other schools.
It capped off a string of big-time commitments — nine to be exact — for Dabo Swinney and Co. over the past week. Much of that stems for the Tigers’ official visit weekend on June 3, and the results continue to be seen. Burley’s commitment moved Clemson up three spots to No. 5 nationally in the latest On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings.
After a slow start to the 2023 cycle, Swinney and his staff have pushed things into overdrive, landing five blue-chip prospects in the past seven days. Burley is at the top of that list, but it also includes Hoschton (Ga.) linebacker Jamal Anderson, Austin (Texas) offensive lineman Ian Reed, four-star Naples (Fla.) tight end Olsen Henry, and Rockwall (Texas) wideout Noble Johnson.

That adds to a group that already included top-30 quarterback Christopher Vizzina, On300 EDGE David Ojiegbe and four-star cornerback Avieon Terrell.
Following a down year, in which Clemson finished 14th in the team rankings, the Tigers look to be back in contention for another top-five class under Swinney.
