Dabo Swinney confirms Clemson's offensive line is fully healthy entering Week 1
Protecting your offense is key for a team and is something simple to check off during your opener. That’s why, based on the latest update from Dabo Swinney, those at Clemson should feel very good about where the program’s offensive line currently stands.
Swinney spoke about the Tiger’s offensive line during his weekly press conference on Thursday. He said that all the members of that unit are healthy and ready to go heading into Monday night’s season opener at Duke.
“Everybody is ready to go,” Swinney said. “We feel great about the big boys in the trenches, we’re excited to see them play.”
Swinney added that the overall depth at those positions also has Clemson feeling good about their protection coming into the year. In his eyes, he has seven starting-caliber players to use in five spots for the Tigers.
“I really like our depth. I think we’ve got some competition that will continue throughout the season,” continued Swinney. “Some flexibility, some guys that can really play multiple positions. As I said earlier, I think we’ve got seven guys that I consider a starter right now. We can only run five out there so we’ll see how it goes.”
Clemson’s offensive line returns four of their five starters from a year ago with everyone back besides Jordan McFadden. With that experience as well as some quality talent scattered at those positions, the Tigers should improve on their numbers from a year ago where they allowed just two sacks per game.

Cade Klubnik gifts Clemson team with Beats headphones
As Clemson readies itself for the 2023 season, the leadership qualities of new starting quarterback Cade Klubnik are already on full display.
After a recent practice, Dabo Swinney turned the team toward a video board in the indoor practice facility. Gracing the stage was quarterback Cade Klubnik, meeting with one of the team chefs.
In a bit of a goofy video, the chef offers Klubnik beets prepared a number of different ways before slyly pulling out a pair of Beats headphones. As smiles break out in the video, a bin full of brand new Beats by Dre Studio Pro headphones were wheeled out to the players in the indoor practice facility, with players all gifted one courtesy of a Klubnik NIL deal with Beats.
“Thankful to be able to hook up the team with some Beats, man,” Klubnik said in a video dropped by Clemson. “Let’s get them locked in for the season, let’s go!”
