Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day five-star offensive tackle David Sanders is the most coveted offensive lineman in the 2025 class.

The 6-foot-5.5, 250-pounder holds offers from more than 30 programs, including a who’s who of college football: Clemson, Georgia, Alabama, Michigan, Ohio State and more.

The Tigers have been in his recruitment heavily over the past year and have had success keeping prospects from Charlotte in the Southeast. Dabo Swinney and Co. are almost certain to get an official visit later this year, with the Bulldogs seen as the biggest other threat right now.

On Thursday night, the Tigers’ head coach visited Sanders, along with offensive line coach Matt Luke, who was previously an assistant at Georgia.

The Tigers waited a bit longer than other programs to offer Sanders, extending him one last May. But that hasn’t dampened his interest in the program at all.

“I went to games when I was little because that was my dream school growing up,” Sanders previously told On3. “I have always watched them on TV. To get that offer was a dream come true. Clemson is a school I am really looking at.”

They’ve made him feel like a major priority,

“Clemson is showing me that I’m one of their highest targets,” he told On3’s Chad Simmons this fall. “I was one of their first offers for the 2025 class. That meant the world to me.”

Sanders is the No. 2 overall prospect in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 1 offensive tackle and also the No. 1 recruit in North Carolina.
