Elyjah Thurmon injury update: Dabo Swinney reveals unfortunate diagnosis for Clemson OL
The Clemson Tigers pulled out a heart-stopping win in the final few minutes against the Pitt Panthers on Saturday, prevailing 24-20. It was a big win for their team, but unfortunately, they had a number of guys get banged up in the win. One player who was hurt was offensive lineman Elyjah Thurmon, and following the win, Tigers head coach Dabo Swinney updated his status.
“A lot of guys are hurt. Elyjah’s gonna be done for the year. It was a really tough, tough, injury for him. But you know, he’ll be back. Be ready to go for the spring. As I told him, it’s about the silver lining. It would have been bad if he hadn’t had a chance to show what he can do,” Swinney explained.
Alright. So, at least he’s got a very cool vision of what he can be. He had a chance to show everybody that he can do it. Himself, his teammates, our fans. This guy. He’s a player. And so, even though the season’s coming to an end. He’ll have that confidence, going into the offseason. So, thankful for that,” Swinney finished.
