4-star EDGE David Ojiegbe commits to Clemson
On Wednesday, Washington (D.C.) St. John’s four-star edge rusher David Ojiegbe committed to Clemson.
The 6-foot-3, 235-pound prospect picked the Tigers over offers from Georgia, Miami, Michigan, North Carolina, Penn State, Tennessee and more.
Ojiegbe is the No. 226 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 29 EDGE and the No. 2 junior prospect in the District of Columbia.
He was originally planning to wait until the end of this summer to make a decision, but told On3’s Chad Simmons that after a pair of recent visits, he knew the timing was right.

“I get a lot of love from the coaches,” he previously told On3. “My parents do too. Coach Hall has been recruiting me since my sophomore year and I trust him, I like the way he produces players, and he is a player’s coach. It really felt like family down there. I have a former teammate (Tre’ Williams) there too, so that is cool.”
David Ojiegbe joins Clemson’s class three-player class, which ranks No. 12 in the country, according to the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings. Also in the fold for the Tigers are four-star quarterback Christopher Vizzina, wide receiver Nathaniel Joseph and tight end Reid Mikeska.
