Four-star safety Ricardo Jones of Warner Robins (GA) Northside High announced his commitment to Clemson Tuesday evening.

The 6-foot-3, 200 pounder chose the Tigers over Florida State, Tennessee, and others.

Jones on why he chose Clemson

“It’s a family,” Jones said. “After sitting down with coach Conn and (Dabo) Swinney, and them telling me how much they love me not just as a player, but a leader stood out. Also how they look for people like me really stuck with me, and the opportunity is there. Them losing many DBs this year coming up opens spots right up.”

Relationship with coaching staff + their plan for him

“Coach Conn and coach Goodwin are who I’m closest with for sure,” Jones said. “They plan on using me everywhere, almost like Isaiah Simmons. They compared me to him but with a lot of range. Me and coach Conn are tight, we talk everyday basically.”

Goals for Top 10 2024 Class

“We are trying to win a championship, Jones said. “That’s really the only goal to have at this program.”
