4-star wideout Chris Culliver sets Clemson visit for next month
Despite not having an offer from Clemson, Maiden (N.C.) wide receiver Chris Culliver is headed to see the Tigers next month, he announced on Thursday.
Culliver is the No. 347 prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 56 receiver and the No. 12 prospect in the Tar Heel State.
On3’s own rankings are much higher on him, though, listing him as No. 195 prospect nationally, No. 32 wide receiver and No. 4 prospect in North Carolina.
The 6-foot-2, 175-pounder has amassed offers from South Carolina, Ohio State, North Carolina, Kentucky, Michigan State and a number of others. Clemson is somewhat notorious for being judicious with its offers, especially at skill positions. As it stands, the Tigers have only offered four receivers in the 2023 class: Noah Rogers, current commit Nathaniel Joseph, Christian Hamilton, and Tyler Williams.
