Clemson linebacker Kane Patterson has entered the transfer portal, On3 has learned.

The junior from Tennessee appeared in 10 games this season and recorded six tackles, including one over the weekend at South Carolina.

Patterson served as a backup behind Clemson Mike linebacker James Skalski this season. He was rated as a four-star recruit in the class of 2019.

In addition to playing in 10 games this past season, Patterson appeared in all 12 games in 2020 and in 13 games as a true freshman in 2019.

He finishes his time at Clemson with 40 career tackles, 3 tackles for loss, a sack, a fumble recovery and an interception.

Patterson is the fifth Clemson player to enter the transfer portal this season, joining running backs Lyn-J Dixon and Michel Dukes, safety Joseph Charleston and offensive lineman Paul Tchio.
