Warner Robins (Ga.) four-star defensive lineman Vic Burley is set make his commitment decision on Wednesday.

And one program has a commanding lead heading into it, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). The RPM gives Clemson an 87.2 percent chance of landing Burley, with Georgia and Tennessee (2.2%) both trailing far behind. Included in that is an expert prediction from On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons, which he put in a week ago.

“There is something about Clemson,” Vic Burley told On3 in an interview earlier this year. “I can’t really put my tongue on it, but there is something that just makes them stand out. The culture draws me to Clemson. You can go to all these different colleges, but there is something about that Clemson culture.”

The 6-foot-5, 292-pounder is the No. 51 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 6 defensive lineman and the No. 3 player in Georgia this cycle.

Vic Burley Scouting Summary

“Power rusher that wins with violence and flashes pure strength against the run. Added around 30 pounds between his junior and senior off-seasons. Basketball player as well as a stand-out thrower in track and field. Threw 50 feet in the shot put and 156’04” in the discus as a sophomore. Dominant against the run by playing with tremendous leverage for being a taller defensive lineman. Has some balance issues and plays out of control at times, but has an undeniably high floor as an interior run stopper.” — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings
