Three-star linebacker Drew Woodaz of Tampa (FL) Jesuit High announced his commitment to Clemson Thursday evening.

The 6-foot-3, 210 pounder chose the Tigers over Oklahoma, Iowa, and others.

Woodaz on why he chose Clemson

“It would have to be the fact that I know they will develop me in all aspects, as a player and as a man. That will lead me to be better all around and throughout my career.

Relationship with coaching staff + their plan for Woodaz

“Coach Goodwin has a ton of experience working with great players that have succeeded in their careers and he has seen it all,” Woodaz said. “I feel he can develop me into any position at safety, linebacker, anywhere they decide to put me. I trust he will develop me to be the best I can.”

The Sunshine State linebacker joins coach Swinney and the Tigers’ Top 20 class in the 2024 team rankings. He is accompanied by Tavoy Feagin, Noah Dixon, and others.

Woodaz ranks as the No. 938 player in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also tabs in as the No. 102 linebacker and the No. 123 player in the state of Florida.

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $16.1K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
