Clemson sets date for annual spring game

Spring practice and preparations for the 2022 college football season are quickly approaching.

Clemson’s complete schedule was announced Monday, along with a set date for its annual spring game. The Tigers will host the Orange vs. White scrimmage on Saturday, April 9, on the ACC Network. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.

Spring practice always hold this importance, but there will be plenty of storylines for the Tigers. With new coordinators on each side of the football, the next three months will be crucial for re-establishing the standard for Clemson.

And for the spring game, it will be the first true look at the revamped quarterback room. DJ Uiagalelei continues to be the sitting starting quarterback but five-star quarterback Cade Klubnik is on campus and will be participating throughout. Could a strong string of practices and spring game put Klubnik officially in the mix for the starting job?

That is one of just many questions that will be answered in the coming months. And now Tigers fans have a spring game to look forward to.

Mark your calendars: 2022 Clemson football schedule is set

The 2022 football season is a big one for Clemson as Dabo Swinney’s program looks to return to elite status.

The teams on Clemson’s 2022 schedule were already set, but now the dates and the order of games have been announced.

Clemson’s season opener against Georgia Tech, which will be played at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, will be played on Monday, Sept. 5. This will be the second consecutive season the Tigers open the season in an NFL stadium as Clemson lost to Georgia at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte to open the 2021 season.

2023 DB DaKaari Nelson reacts to Clemson offer, recaps visit

Saturday’s Elite Junior Day at Clemson was, by all accounts, a success for the program.

One of the key takeaways from this past weekend’s event is the number of prospects who hauled in an offer from Dabo Swinney’s staff. A trio of junior recruits left the campus in possession of a Clemson offer.

What Clemson basketball must do to have strong second half of season

Clemson still has time to make a move in the ACC and enter the NCAA Tournament conversation.

But it’s imperative that the Tigers continue to build off of strong performances against Pitt and Duke their last two times out and not take a step back when they host Florida State Wednesday night.

Clemson 11-9 (3-6) has 11 ACC games remaining, and of those, seven are at home.

The Tigers have lost four of five entering Wednesday’s game against the Seminoles, but the last two games in particular, Brad Brownell’s team has played very well. He’s hoping that continues after more than a week off.
