Trio of former Clemson stars heading to Super Bowl 56

A cast of former Tigers will be in Los Angeles on Feb. 13 for Super Bowl 56 thanks to Sunday’s win over the Kansas City Chiefs. Tee Higgins, Jackson Carman and DJ Reader all played roles in the victory, sealing the Cincinnati Bengals’ first trip to the Super Bowl since 1988.

Higgins had a huge day, racking up six receptions for a team-high 103 yards, averaging 17.2 yards per catch. A second-year receiver out of Clemson, he has emerged as one of Joe Burrow’s top targets next to Ja’Marr Chase.

Carman played Sunday, while Reader helped lead a defense that limited the Chiefs offense to just 83 total yards and three points in the second half and overtime.

On the other side of the Super Bowl matchup will sit Tremayne Anchrum Jr., an offensive lineman with the Rams. Kickoff for Super Bowl is set for 6:30 p.m. ET from SoFi Stadium.

Justice Haynes talks Clemson visit, memorable speech by Dabo Swinney

On Saturday, Clemson provided the red-carpet treatment for over a dozen targets in the 2023 class.

Stepping foot on the Tigers’ campus yesterday for their Elite Junior Day was Justice Haynes. The Roswell (Georgia) target had the option to go to the junior days at Alabama or Georgia, but opted to attend Clemson’s instead.

Haynes spoke with Clemson Sports about how his visit went, Dabo Swinney’s incredible speech, his relationship with C.J. Spiller, and much more.

Former Clemson receiver Hunter Renfrow headed to first Pro Bowl

 Hunter Renfrow proved this season while playing for the Raiders that he is one of the best receivers in the NFL. Now the former Clemson star is being honored as such.

Renfrow has been named to his first Pro Bowl, Clemson Sports confirmed on Sunday. An official announcement of Renfrow being added to the AFC Pro Bowl roster is expected to come in the next couple of days.

The 26-year-old Renfrow just wrapped up his third season in the league. He had his best year yet in 2021, finishing with 103 catches for 1,038 yards and nine touchdowns.
