Clemson reveals jersey numbers for freshmen class

With Clemson shifting its focus away from the 2022 class, the Tigers have started to assign out jersey numbers to members of the freshmen class. Some have already arrived on campus as early enrollees, others won’t arrive until this summer.

Clemson closed out the 2022 cycle at No. 13 in the consensus team rankings, just ahead of Kentucky and Mizzou.

Here is the list of jersey numbers for members of the class, per the Clemson website:

No. 2 Cade Klubnik

No. 8 Adam Randall

No. 10 Jeadyn Lukus

No. 12 Sherrod Covil Jr.

No. 23 Toriano Pride

No. 38 Robert Gunn III

No. 50 Collin Sadler

No. 78 Blake Miller

No. 89 Jack Smith

Four-star DL Caden Story explains why he chose Clemson

The path to getting to Wednesday was far from a smooth one for Clemson signee Caden Story.

After being committed to Auburn for four months, Story opted not to sign early and instead wait until National Signing Day. The one decision drastically altered his recruitment and, ultimately, his final destination.

On Jan. 7, it was officially announced that Nick Eason, Story’s primary recruiter and future position coach at Auburn, was hired by Clemson. This prompted Story to reopen his recruitment and put Auburn, Clemson, and Florida in his top three.

Following two official visits — one to Clemson and one to Florida — Story had a tough decision to make. In the end, it was the relationship he formed with Eason that put the Tigers over the top.

Clemson forward suffers broken clavicle, out indefinitely

Clemson forward Hunter Tyson has suffered a broken clavicle, Clemson announced Thursday afternoon.

Tyson left Wednesday’s victory over Florida State in the first half and did not return. The injury is to his left shoulder. He has started all 21 games for the Tigers this season. He is averaging `10 points and 6 rebounds per game and is also the team’s top leader.

There is an outside chance the senior could be back for the ACC Tournament, according to a source.
