4-star WR TJ Moore commits to Clemson: 'We’re building up a national championship team'
Tampa (Fla.) Tampa Catholic four-star wide receiver TJ Moore had a feeling for awhile that he might end up at Clemson. His decision ultimately came down to the Tigers and Florida.
The decision was officially sealed over the weekend as Moore committed to Dabo Swinney’s Tigers following an official visit.
“That just solidified the whole deal,” Moore told On3. “After that visit I knew that I knew for a fact that I wanted to go there.”
The trip to Clemson was the second Moore’s taken since the Tigers offered him a months back.
During he each visit Moore said he’s learned a little more about Clemson’s history especially when it comes to wide receivers past the college level. That factor alone really helped solidify the deal for him.
“I never realized just how much better there statistics for wide receivers were over every other team,” said Moore, the No. 127 player in the 2024 class. “Ohio State has that recently but before that, there wasn’t that much. I know for the future Clemson will get me right financially, they’ll better me as a man as a player. I know that I want to play under Coach Sweeney.”

Moore got to know Sweeney more during his latest visit and also got to know both his wife and his kids. That connection Sweeney and Clemson’s other coaches made it an easy choice for Moore who called Sweeney up shortly after the visit to let him know about his decision.
Earlier in the day was when Moore says he knew for sure that he’d be making his decision after spending some more time with Clemson’s other pledges.
“Hanging out with the commits and stuff made me feel 100%,” Moore said. “I know Tavoy (Feagin) because he’s from where I’m from and I’ve known for awhile that I wanted to play with him.”
With the commitment now in his rearview, Moore is focused on adding to the Tigers’ 2024 class. Getting them back to the top of the college football world is his main priority.
